Murderers VS Sheriffs FAQ
All Questions
What is Murderers VS Sheriffs Duels?
Murderers VS Sheriffs Duels (MVSD) is a free Roblox PvP game by the MVS Duels Community: fast knife-and-gun duels from 1v1 up to 4v4, where the first side to five round wins takes the match. It launched in February 2025 and has passed 1.4 billion visits.
What's the difference between MVS, MVS 2 and MVSD?
They are three separate Roblox games in the same family. Murderers vs. Sheriffs is the original, Murderers vs Sheriffs 2 (MVS2) is a team-battle sequel with modes like capture the flag, and DUELS (MVSD) is the competitive duels spin-off — by far the most played of the three. This wiki focuses on DUELS but covers the whole series.
Is Murderers VS Sheriffs free to play?
Yes. The game is free on Roblox across PC, mobile and console. Gems and cases are optional — every weapon skin is cosmetic and deals identical damage.
How do I redeem MVSD codes?
Open the game, hit the Shop/Codes button in the lobby menu, type the code exactly as written and confirm. Codes are case-sensitive — copy them from our codes page, which we verify in-game.
How do I get a free knife in MVSD?
Redeem the code 1BVISITS for a free knife (released to celebrate one billion visits, still active at last check). After that, free cases from like-milestone codes are your best zero-Robux route to new skins.
How does trading work in MVSD?
You trade weapon skins directly with other players. Before accepting anything, compare both sides against a value list — our values page bands every tradable skin by rarity with demand ratings, updated weekly.
What are the odds of a Legendary or Collectible case pull?
Regular cases roll Legendary at roughly 0.5-3% depending on the case, and Collectible items (like the Techno Sniper) at about 0.25% from premium cases. Full per-case odds are on our case odds guide.
Which ability should I buy first?
Sprint (3,750 gems) is the safest first purchase — a +50% speed burst that wins chases in every mode. Soul Reap (5,000 gems) is stronger in team modes but costs more and needs kills to shine. See the full ability tier list for the rest.
